Senior Business Development Manager | Building Materials | Melbourne

Our client is an industry leading building products company. They design, manufacture and deliver specialty products that are trusted in healthcare, education, commercial and major infrastructure projects across Australia.

The role
n
You'll take ownership of the Victorian market — driving specification, sales and relationship building with architects, contractors and key decision-makers on major projects. You'll bring your energy, your technical savvy and your sales know-how to grow our presence and our impact across the region.

What you'll be doing:
n
n
Identifying current opportunities and winning specification business in the architectural / building-product space
n
Building and nurturing relationships with architects, specifiers, builders and project stakeholders
n
Working closely with the internal team (product, technical, operations) to deliver seamless project outcomes
n




Representing the company at site visits, trade events, meetings and presentations
n
Managing your sales pipeline and forecast accurately — helping shape our strategy for growth
n
n
What we're looking for
n
n
You've got B2B sales experience (ideally within building products, architectural / commercial sector)
n
You're comfortable influencing at senior levels and working on specification-driven deals
n
You bring strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills
n
You have a proactive mindset — you don't wait for things to happen, you make them happen
n
Bonus: you've worked with
architects/specifiers
and understand how product – specification – project phases work
n
n
The role offers a generous car allowance, full time location flexibility and an uncapped commission structure.
