We are looking for a confident and capable driver who has experience with loading and unloading machinery and is comfortable operating a range of semi-trailers and heavy transport equipment.

About The Role
n
This is a full-time position with consistent work of 40 hours per week, with overtime available for those who want additional hours.
n
The majority of work will be throughout the Cairns region and surrounding areas, with the occasional trip to Townsville.
n
The Work Includes
n
n
Loading and unloading machinery safely and efficiently
n
Operating Tri-Semi Tilt trailers
n
Operating Drop Deck trailers
n
Operating Quad Low Loader & Dolly combinations
n
Operating Super Tilt trailers
n
Tipper work, including end tipper and side tipper
n
Transporting machinery, equipment and other loads
n




Ensuring loads are properly secured and transported safely
n
Completing pre-start checks and maintaining vehicles and equipment
n
Working safely and professionally at all times
n
n
About You
n
To be successful in this role, you will have:
n
n
A current HC manual licence
n
Proven experience driving semi-trailers
n
Experience loading and unloading machinery & container/dongas
n
Confidence operating different trailer combinations
n
Experience with machinery transport and/or heavy haulage
n
A solid understanding of load restraint and transport safety
n
A reliable and professional attitude
n
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
n
A good knowledge of the Cairns region and surrounding areas is an advantage
n
