The role
Applications are currently sought from high energy andpassionate Drama Teachers to join our Creative & Performing ArtsFaculty in January ****. Working in this fixedterm position during Term ****** will provide you with a wonderfulopportunity to teach drama to our boys across Years 7 through to10.
Reporting to our Head of Creative & Performing Arts Faculty, youwill be responsible for using evidence-based teaching strategies todeliver a curriculum that engages and challenges each student inline with the school's Effective Learner Model.
To be successful in the role, you will be required todemonstrate:
Experience teaching Drama to secondary school students.Note: applications from graduates are welcomed.
Effective classroom management skills to maximise learningopportunities for students.
A strong understanding of the principles of the science oflearning.
Experience in delivering a knowledge-based curriculum.




Experience using evidence-informed teaching strategiesbased on the work of prominent educational researchersincluding Barak Rosenshine, Doug Lemov, John Hattie and JimKnight.
Use explicit instruction techniques and frequent formativeassessment to check for student understanding.
Knowledge of research findings relevant to student learningand education.
A pursuit of continuous improvement and self-reflection asa teacher.
A commitment to collaborate with colleagues in planning,implementing and reviewing curriculum through the design andediting of shared resources.
The ability to establish and foster relationships withstudents, staff, and parents.
A willingness to be actively involved in the cultural,pastoral, and co-curricular activities (including sport andoutdoor education) of the School.
