Primal Paint Group is seeking an experienced Tradesmen Painter to join our team in Caboolture, QLD. This is a full-time position offering an excellent opportunity to work with a dynamic organisation in the building trades industry. As a Tradesmen Painter, you will be a key part of our operations, delivering high-quality painting and decorative services to our clients. You will play an integral role in maintaining our reputation for excellence and craftsmanship, working on residential, commercial, and industrial projects.

Key responsibilities
n
n
Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, filling and priming walls, ceilings, and other structures
n
Apply paint, varnish, stain and other finishes using brushes, rollers, spray equipment and other application tools
n
Mix and match paint colours to meet client specifications and project requirements
n
Inspect and maintain painting equipment, ensuring tools are clean, properly maintained and safe to use
n
Follow health and safety protocols and comply with relevant building regulations and standards
n
Communicate effectively with supervisors, clients and team members regarding project progress and any issues that arise
n
Manage time efficiently to meet project deadlines whilst maintaining high-quality workmanship
n
Document work completed, including materials used and hours spent on each project
n
Identify potential problems during painting and implement appropriate solutions
n

What we're looking for
n
n
Valid qualifications or apprenticeship completion in painting and decorating or a related building trade
n
Proven experience as a painter, with a portfolio demonstrating your technical skills and quality of work
n
Strong knowledge of different painting techniques, finishes,



and materials suitable for various surfaces
n
Proficiency with painting equipment, including spray guns, rollers, brushes and associated tools
n
Ability to read and interpret project specifications, plans and technical drawings
n
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality finishes
n
Physical fitness and ability to work at heights, in confined spaces and in various weather conditions
n
Valid driver's licence and reliable transport to project sites
n
Strong work ethic, reliability and punctuality
n
Current understanding of workplace health and safety requirements in the building industry
n
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
n
Experience with commercial or industrial painting projects is highly desirable
n
