Home Delivery Service (HDS) – Wetherill Park Depot, Sydney NSW

Full Time | Monday to Friday | Weekends on the odd occasion | Approx. 3:00/4:00am Start

HDS is one of Australia's fastest-growing logistics providers. Our Wetherill Park depot runs a fast-paced home delivery operation, and we're looking for an Operations Supervisor who can take ownership of the early morning shift – someone who leads from the front, keeps the operation moving, and knows how to get the best out of the people and runs in their care.

The Opportunity:
n
This role sits at the heart of our home delivery operation. You'll be on the floor from the early hours overseeing van load-out, making sure every run is set up correctly and drivers are dispatched on time. Once the vans are out, you'll shift into monitoring mode – tracking runs, staying across any issues on the road, and keeping regular communication flowing with our contractor and sub-contractor drivers throughout the day. Your primary responsibility is the load-out team, though as with any fast-moving depot operation there will be times where you're called on to oversee other areas of the shift as well.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee van load-out from the early hours, ensuring all runs are correctly packed, manifested, and ready for on-time dispatch
n
Monitor delivery runs in real time, proactively identifying and resolving issues as they arise
n
Maintain regular communication with contractor and sub-contractor drivers throughout the shift, providing support and direction as required
n
Use the Arctec system to manage, track, and report on delivery runs and operational performance
n
Supervise the load-out team across the shift,



driving productivity, accuracy, and WHS compliance – with the flexibility to oversee other depot areas when required
n
Build team culture, provide explicit direction, and support the development of individuals on your shift
n
Liaise with depot management to ensure smooth shift handovers and consistent operational reporting
n

You'll Bring:
n
n
Proven experience in an operations, logistics, or warehouse supervisory role – home delivery or last-mile experience highly regarded
n
Experience managing or coordinating contractor and/or sub-contractor drivers – confident communicator who can keep drivers informed and on track
n
A hands-on leadership style – you're comfortable on the floor and lead by example
n
Proficiency with the Arctec system – or strong experience with a comparable delivery management or transport operations platform
n
Exposure to WMS systems – beneficial but not essential; we're more interested in your operational instincts and ability to pick up systems quickly
n
Strong planning and organisational skills – able to manage the pace of an early morning operation and stay ahead of issues before they elevate
n
Availability to commit to an approx. 3:00–4:00am start, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend shifts when required
