An exciting opportunity is available for a
Vehicle Mechanic
to join our Defence Maintenance Contract (DMC) team based at
Puckapunyal
, north of Melbourne.
In this hands-on role, you'll carry out maintenance and repairs on a diverse fleet of military vehicles, including 4WDs, trucks, tracked and armoured vehicles, infantry personnel carriers, and even tanks.
This is a unique opportunity to work on specialised Defence assets rarely found in the civilian sector.
$***** per hour + 12% super.
38-hour week, Monday to Friday, with an early finish every Friday.

About the Role
Conduct maintenance, servicing, inspections and fault-finding activities
Perform technical inspections and vehicle classifications
Repair or replace worn and faulty components, including engines, transmissions and differentials
Reassemble, test, clean and adjust repaired components




Carry out minor body and trim repairs
Diagnose and repair vehicle electrical systems, including lighting, ignition and electronic fuel injection systems
Inspect vehicles and issue roadworthiness certificates where required
About You
Certificate III in Heavy Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent trade qualification.
Demonstrated experience inspecting, servicing and repairing light, medium and heavy vehicles.
Current Australian State or Territory Class C Driver's Licence.
You must be an Australian Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a minimum Australian Government Baseline Security Clearance.
