Australian Architectural Fire Doors is seeking a Yardmen / Forklift Driver to join our team at our Narangba, Queensland facility.
This is a 38hrs casual position leading to full-time position that offers flexibility whilst providing essential support to our factory and distribution operations.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing yard operations, operating forklifts, and ensuring the smooth movement of goods throughout our facility.
This position is integral to maintaining the efficiency and safety of our warehouse and distribution centre.What you'll be doingOperating forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently to move, stack, and store goods within the yard and factoryPerforming yard maintenance tasks including sweeping, cleaning, and organizing yard areas to ensure a secure and productive working environmentConducting pre-operation inspections on forklifts and reporting any maintenance issues promptlyAssisting with inventory control and ensuring goods are stored in designated areas according to company proceduresMaintaining accurate records of goods movement and yard activitiesFollowing all health and safety regulations and company policies at all timesSupporting other warehouse and logistics staff as needed to meet operational demandsWhat we're looking forA valid Forklift Licence or the willingness to obtain onePrevious experience as a Yardman or in a similar warehousing or logistics roleDemonstrated proficiency in operating forklifts and material handling equipment safelyA strong commitment to health and safety practices and compliance with workplace regulationsThe ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environmentGood organizational skills and attention to detailPhysical fitness and the ability to perform manual handling tasks regularlyExcellent communication skills and a reliable, punctual work ethicExperience with warehouse management systems or inventory tracking is desirableWhat we offerWe offer a 38hrs casual position that leads to full-time position.
