Game Art & Animation Trainer – Full time

You will teach and support students across a range of game art and animation disciplines, including 3D modelling and texturing, game art and environment creation, character creation, rigging and animation, digital art and concept development, Unreal Engine workflows, and portfolio and independent creative project development. The role combines structured online classes, practical demonstrations, individual student support, assessment and feedback.

Key responsibilities
n
Deliver engaging online classes and practical software demonstrations
n
Provide individual support and technical troubleshooting to students
n
Assess student work and provide constructive feedback
n
Support students through creative projects from concept through to final presentation
n
Maintain appropriate student progress and assessment records
n




Work collaboratively with the training team to maintain and improve course delivery
n
Help students develop professional workflows and industry-ready portfolios
n
Participate in teacher meetings and contribute to course development
n
About you
n
Practical experience with Unreal Engine
n
Practical experience with Autodesk Maya and/or Blender
n
Practical experience with Adobe Photoshop
n
Practical experience with Adobe Substance 3D Painter
n
Practical experience with 3D modelling, UV mapping and texturing
n
Practical experience with real-time/game art production workflows
n
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE) or
equivalent/relevant
training qualification
n
Experience teaching within TAFE, an RTO, VET or another vocational training environment
n
Experience with competency-based training and assessment
n
Strong communication and student-support skills
