The Chance
n
As a Legal Practice Leader in our Darwin-based Medical Law team, you'll lead the pursuit of justice for clients impacted by medical negligence. Reporting to the longstanding Legal Practice Manager of Shine's Darwin office, you'll manage a diverse caseload spanning medical negligence matters, while also supporting complex abuse law and public liability claims.

Provide clients with legal advice and representation to obtain compensation.
n
Work across a variety of client matters that require a high level of sensitivity.
n
Progressing and resolving medical negligence claims and litigated personal injury matters.
n
Provide legal advice to each client's particular matter to suit their level of understanding.
n
Develop and maintain strong professional working relationships with clients, including effective and regular communication and managing the client's expectations.
n
Draft legal documentation with a high degree of attention to detail.
n
Manage and run afile load with a high level of commercial and fiscal awareness.
n
Take an active role in working with and mentoring junior members of the team.

What you'll bring

A Bachelor of Laws with a current practising certificate.
n
Proven success litigating a variety of personal injury matters.
n
A strong understanding of,



and ability to interpret the relevant legislation and legal documentation.
n
Maturity and confidence to deal with clients who may be experiencing trauma.
n
A desire to be part of a strong, cohesive team that works together to get great results.
