Whoever You Are (WEYA) : Disability Support WorkerAbout the RoleWe are seeking passionate Disability Support Workers to join our team and redefine care standards.
As a Disability Support Worker, you will be vital in providing compassionate care and essential skills to individuals with disabilities.
You will work collaboratively with a team of dedicated professionals to ensure that each participant receives the highest quality of care.
We currently have ***** hours available throughout the week, with weekend work available and sleepovers if required.Weekday rates will vary from $*****-$***** an hour, depending on experience.Saturday and Sunday Rates if requiredLocation: Southern Gold Coast & Northern NSWWe require all staff applying to have experience with complex disabilities that are comfortable with using AT, Hoists, and completing personal care.More hours will become available as we grow our participant base in Brisbane.This role would suit anyone looking to get into the industry or a university student studying a health-related degree.You will be working with a mixed caseload and will be required to work in the western suburbs and the CBD.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide compassionate and personalised care to individuals with disabilities.Assist with activities of daily living and accessing the communitySupport participants in developing independent living skillsFacilitate community access and participationMaintain accurate documentation and reportingRequirementsExperience or qualifications in disability supportExperience in Personal Care: Including showering, grooming, manual handling and hoisting/transfers.Experience in managing Complex Behaviors: Ability to remain calm and patient while supporting participants with severe behaviors of concern.Experience with Physical & Complex conditionsA genuine passion for making a positive impact in the lives of othersExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong teamwork skillsA willingness to continuously learn and growCurrent First Aid and CPR certificationNDIS Worker Screening CheckCurrent driver's license and reliable car with insuranceThe opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of othersJoin a complex- care provider that is lead by an OTA supportive and team-oriented work environmentCompetitive salary and benefits packageFull training and development opportunitiesThe chance to be part of a team that is committed to providing high-quality careWhy Whoever You Are?
