MPE Custom Switchboards is a specialist switchboard manufacturer based in Smithfield. We build quality electrical switchboards and take pride in growing our own tradespeople — properly, not just throwing you in the deep end. Work in our workshop, not alone on a job site, with experienced electricians backing you every step.

The opportunity
n
We're growing, and we want 1st and 2nd year apprentices who want to learn a genuinely specialised trade. You'll work alongside experienced electricians and pick up skills most apprentices don't get exposed to until much later — or ever.

What you'll learn

Assembling switchboards and control panels
n
Installing and maintaining electrical equipment
n
Reading and interpreting electrical drawings
n




Electrical testing and safety checks
n
Setting out panels and control wiring
n
n

About you
n

Currently in (or about to start) 1st or 2nd year of your electrical apprenticeship
n
Solid with maths and English
n
A team player who's keen to learn and shows up ready to work

Safety-conscious with good communication skills
