Workshop All-Rounder / Trade Assistant – Heavy Vehicle & MachineryJohn C Beaumont Earthmoving (JCB) is looking for a reliable and hands-on Workshop All-Rounder / Trade Assistant to join our heavy vehicle and machinery workshop in the Ipswich area.This position will initially be offered on a casual basis with full-time hours, with a review at the completion of the probation period and the chance to move into a permanent full-time position.This is a wide-ranging, hands-on role suited to someone who is mechanically minded, enjoys working around trucks and heavy machinery, and is happy to help wherever needed.About the RoleWorking alongside our workshop team, your duties will include:Assisting with servicing and maintenance of trucks, heavy vehicles and earthmoving machineryCarrying out basic servicing including oil and filter changes, greasing and general upkeepAssisting mechanics and fitters with repairs and maintenanceCompleting fuel runs and refuelling plant and equipment as requiredCollecting parts and workshop suppliesWashing and preparing trucks, machinery and equipmentCarrying out basic visual checks and reporting maintenance issuesKeeping the workshop and work areas clean and organisedAssisting with other workshop, yard and operational tasks as requiredWhat We're Looking ForTo be considered for the role,



you will need:A current driver's licenceHR Driver Licence preferred but not essentialPrevious experience around trucks, heavy vehicles, machinery or within a mechanical/workshop environmentAbility to complete basic servicing and maintenance tasksGood mechanical aptitude and confidence using hand and power toolsA strong work ethic and willingness to assist with a variety of tasksAbility to work both independently and as part of a teamA positive attitude towards workplace health and safetyConstruction White Card, or willingness to obtain oneReliable transportPrevious experience with earthmoving equipment, trucks, trailers, diesel machinery or a similar industry would be highly regarded.We are primarily looking for someone who is reliable, mechanically minded, practical and willing to get in and help wherever needed.About UsJohn C Beaumont Earthmoving is an established earthmoving and civil contracting company based in the Ipswich area.
