Our client, a leader in the Transmission & Distribution sector, is currently seeking a Project Manager for an exciting contract opportunity.
This role involves overseeing a significant HV substation project, "Project Olympus", which involves installing a Dual 132kV circuit from the Royal Docks to a UKPN substation in Islington.
The successful applicant will be based across various construction sites in Islington, Hackney and Tower Hamlets, with regular office attendance and some scope for home working.Key Responsibilities:Managing and overseeing HV/EHV engineering schemes, ensuring adherence to programme timelines, budgets, and quality standardsLeading project teams including designers, consultants, surveyors, construction teams, and suppliers through the construction phaseCoordinating day-to-day operations and activities,



with regular site and office visitsManaging scope change and ensuring compliance with NEC ContractsEnsuring full compliance with CDM regulationsUtilising strong people skills to liaise with various stakeholders and team membersProviding regular project updates and reports to senior managementJob Requirements:Experience in project or contract management within the HV/EHV engineering sectorProficiency in handling high voltage cable schemes (132kV, 66kV, 33kV is desirable)Detailed knowledge of NEC ContractsFluency in CDM regulationsProven streetworks and highways experienceStrong computer skills, including proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and email communicationExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and proactively manage tasks and responsibilitiesBenefits:Chance to work on a high-profile project within the T & D sectorA dynamic and collaborative work environmentPotential for flexible working arrangements once settled
