This is a varied role combining
technical equipment preparation, print run-up processes and warehouse operations

Working alongside our experienced Run-Up Technician, you'll learn PFM's processes for preparing, configuring, testing and commissioning multifunction print devices before they are deployed to customers.
You'll also be an active member of our warehouse operation, assisting with the movement, staging and handling of equipment and general warehouse duties.

About the Role
Your primary workplace will be our
technical workshop within our Sydney warehouse
.
A key part of the role will be supporting our current Run-Up Technician and progressively learning the complete equipment run-up process.
You will learn how to prepare equipment from receipt through to customer-ready condition, including configuration,



testing, accessories, print setup and quality checking.
As your technical knowledge develops, there will also be opportunities to become involved in
customer installations, networking and technical support
.
When required, you'll work alongside our warehouse team to support the broader operation.
Your responsibilities will include:
Print Equipment Run-Up & Technical Support
Supporting our Run-Up Technician with day-to-day equipment preparation
Learning PFM's complete print equipment run-up and commissioning processes
Unpacking, assembling and preparing multifunction devices
Installing accessories and components
Configuring and testing equipment prior to dispatch
Performing print and functionality testing
Identifying and troubleshooting equipment faults
Refurbishing and recommissioning used equipment
Ensuring equipment is completed to PFM's quality standards
Maintaining an organised and efficient technical workshop
Technical Development & Installations
As your skills and experience develop, you will also learn and assist with:
Installation and commissioning of multifunction devices at customer sites
TCP/IP network configuration
Print driver installation and configuration
Scan-to-email and scan-to-folder setup
PC and Mac print environments
Troubleshooting hardware, software and network issues
Customer technical support
Warehouse & Logistics
This is a hands-on operational role, and you will also assist with:
Receiving and handling photocopiers and associated equipment
Equipment staging and preparation for dispatch
Stock and inventory movements
Container unloading
Loading and unloading trucks and vehicles




Forklift operation where licensed
General warehouse duties as required
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone with the
right attitude and technical aptitude
who wants to learn and develop.
Previous photocopier or print industry experience would be highly regarded, but depending on your background, it isn't necessarily essential.
You may currently work in the print/copier industry, IT support, electronics, technical servicing, warehousing or another hands-on technical environment.
Ideally, you'll have:
Robust mechanical and technical aptitude
An interest in IT, networking and technology
Good problem-solving skills
Confidence using computers and learning new systems
A practical, hands-on approach to work
Willingness to undertake both technical and warehouse duties
Good attention to detailAbility to work independently and as part of a team
Good communication and customer service skills
A current Australian driver's licence
Australian working rights
Forklift licence preferred, or willingness to obtain one
