Vacuum Excavation Operators and Plant operators
Sheppard Earthmoving is seeking experienced Plant Operators and Vacuum Excavation Truck Operators to join our team in Toowoomba, Queensland. As a full-time position, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a range of plant to support our projects across the region.
What you'll be doing
Safely operate and maneuver a variety of plant, including vacuum excavation trucks, excavators, loaders, skid steer loaders, tip trucks, and under bore machines
Perform daily pre-start checks and routine maintenance on assigned equipment
Communicate effectively with the site supervisor and other team members to coordinate plant usage
Adhere to all safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe work workplace
Provide high-quality work and contribute to the successful delivery of construction projects
What we're looking for
Minimum 2 years' experience operating mobile plant, including excavators, front-end loaders, skid steer loaders and tip trucks.
Vacuum excavation experience is not essential
— full training will be provided to the right candidate.

MR or higher driver's licence

White Card (General Construction Induction)

Strong understanding of
safe plant operation, basic maintenance and equipment care
.
Ability to work safely and effectively as part of a team, as well as
independently and with minimal supervision
across a range of projects.
Strong
communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills
.
A proactive and reliable approach to work, with a commitment to
quality workmanship and maintaining high safety standards
.
Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to different equipment, worksites and project requirements.
