About the Role
n
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and hands-on Duty Manager to join the leadership team. Reporting to senior management, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the venue, ensuring exceptional customer service standards, team engagement, and smooth operational performance across all departments.
n
This role is ideal for a hospitality professional who enjoys leading from the front, developing teams, and creating memorable guest experiences while maintaining compliance and operational excellence.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Oversee daily venue operations across bar, gaming, restaurant, and accommodation areas
n
Lead, mentor, and motivate team members to deliver outstanding customer service
n
Manage staff performance, training, and development
n
Ensure compliance with liquor licensing, gaming, health, and workplace safety regulations
n
Handle customer enquiries, feedback, and issue resolution professionally
n
Assist with rostering, stock control,



cash handling, and venue reporting
n
Support the achievement of operational and financial targets
n
Maintain presentation standards throughout the venue
n
Foster a positive and collaborative workplace culture
n
n
About You
n
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
n
n
Previous experience in a Duty Manager, Assistant Manager, or similar hospitality leadership position
n
Strong knowledge of gaming, bar, food and beverage operations
n
Exceptional leadership and communication skills
n
A hands-on approach with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced workplace
n
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
n
Strong organisational and time management skills
n
Commitment to delivering outstanding customer experiences
n
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required
n

Essential Requirements
n
n
Current QLD RSA & RSG
n
RMLV and Approved Manager's Licence
n
Gaming experience highly regarded
n
Full Australian working rights
