HR Business Partner - Performance Management & ER
n
Our client, a rapidly expanding automotive vehicle importer headquartered in Sydney, is seeking an experienced and commercially minded HR Business Partner / People and Culture Specialist to join their team and play a critical role in building a high-performance, engaged, and values-driven workplace.
n
The Role
n This is an onsite hands-on and influential role, partnering closely with leaders and employees across the business to strengthen performance management, employee engagement, organisational culture, and employee relations.
n You will provide trusted HR advice and ensure their HR practices align with business objectives, Australian employment legislation, and corporate values.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
Performance Management
n
n
Design, implement and continuously improve the organisation's performance management framework.
n
Coordinate performance review processes
n
Partner with managers to establish meaningful and measurable KPIs and provide guidance on effective feedback and performance conversations.
n
Analyse performance data to identify trends, capability gaps, training requirements and succession opportunities.
n
Support leaders in developing and managing effective Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs).
n
n
Employee Relations
n
n
Act as a trusted point of contact for managers and employees on employee relations matters.
n
Independently manage workplace investigations, grievances, disciplinary matters and conflict resolution.
n
Provide guidance on Australian employment legislation, modern awards, industrial relations and HR best practice.
n
Proactively identify and manage people-related risks to minimise organisational exposure.
n

Employee Engagement & Culture
n
n
Support the development and delivery of employee engagement and culture initiatives.
n
Develop and implement recognition and employee experience programs.
n
Use HR data and employee feedback to provide insights into engagement, retention, turnover and employee satisfaction.
n
Partner with department heads to strengthen leadership capability, team effectiveness and employee experience.
n
Champion the organisation's values and help embed a positive, high-performance culture.
n

General HR & Organisational Development
n
n
Contribute to the development, review and implementation of compliant HR policies and procedures.
n
Support organisational development, change management and workforce planning initiatives.
n
n
About You
n You are an experienced HR professional who combines strong technical HR knowledge with excellent commercial judgement and interpersonal skills.
n
To be successful in this role, you will have:
n
n
A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related discipline.
n
Minimum 5 years' HR experience, including at least 2 years' experience in performance management and employee relations.
n
Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation and industrial relations frameworks.
n
Demonstrated experience independently managing investigations, grievances, disciplinary matters and performance issues.
n
Solid experience partnering with managers and leaders to resolve complex people matters.
n
Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
n
Strong analytical capability, with experience using HR metrics and data to inform decision-making.
n
A high level of professionalism, discretion and confidentiality when managing sensitive employee matters.
n
The ability to balance employee advocacy with sound commercial and organisational judgement.
