Abbott Builders Qld Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced and motivated Labourer to join our growing team in Brisbane. This full-time position plays a key role in supporting our construction and rooming accommodation projects, ensuring sites are maintained to a high standard from commencement through to practical completion.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone reliable, physically fit, and experienced in general construction labouring.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
General site labouring and manual handling duties
n
Assisting on active rooming and residential construction projects
n
Site preparation, set-out assistance and material organisation
n
Assisting with piering and concrete pours
n
Ongoing site clean-up to maintain secure and presentable work areas
n
Rubbish removal and skip bin management
n
Assisting with demolition and strip-outs as required
n
Loading and unloading deliveries; checking and distributing materials
n
Moving materials between rooms and multiple levels
n
Assisting with landscaping works, including:n
n
Turf preparation and laying
n
Spreading soil, mulch, gravel and decorative finishes
n
Basic fencing and external works assistance
n
n
Supporting defect rectification and touch-up works
n
Assisting with final presentation and practical completion clean-ups
n
Basic operation of hand and power tools
n




Maintaining compliance with WHS requirements
n
Following directions from the Site Supervisor and Project Manager
n
Ensuring properties are presented to a high standard for tenant readiness
n

What We're Looking For
n
n
Previous experience as a Construction Labourer (essential)
n
Experience on residential or rooming projects highly regarded
n
Strong physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks
n
Good understanding of construction site safety and WHS compliance
n
Reliable, punctual and hardworking
n
Ability to work independently and within a team
n
Driver's licence (required)
n
Australian work rights required for this position
n
Minimum of 1+ years' experience as a construction labourer is required
n
