Elgee Industries is an Australian-owned manufacturing company based in Dandenong South. We specialise in local manufacturing across Fan Systems, Ductware, Rack Systems and Filter Systems, supplying customers across Australia and New Zealand.

We are looking for an experienced Brake Press Operator to join our manufacturing team.
n
About the Role
n
This is a hands-on manufacturing role suited to an experienced operator who can read and understand engineering drawings, accurately fold products to specification and work independently with minimal supervision.
n
You will be responsible for producing a range of sheet metal components and finished products, with accuracy and quality being critical.
n
Your duties will include:
n
n
Operating CNC Press Brake machinery
n
Setting and operating the Press Brake to produce products from engineering drawings
n
Reading and understanding engineering drawings and specifications
n
Measuring and checking finished products to ensure they meet required dimensions
n
Accurately folding sheet metal components
n
Identifying and correcting folding or dimensional issues
n
MIG Welding and Spot Welding as required
n
Assembly of components
n
Assisting in other areas of the factory as required
n
Maintaining a clean and safe work area
n
Working to production requirements while maintaining quality standards
n

About You
n
We are looking for someone who:
n
n




Has current hands-on experience operating CNC Press Brakes
n
Can read, understand and work from engineering drawings
n
Has a good understanding of measurements, dimensions and tolerances
n
Can accurately set up and operate a Press Brake without constant supervision
n
Has a solid eye for detail and takes pride in producing quality work
n
Is reliable, punctual and has a strong work ethic
n
Can work independently as well as part of a team
n
Can follow instructions and production requirementsIs comfortable working in a busy manufacturing environment
n
Can hit the ground running
n
n
MIG Welding experience is highly regarded and will be an advantage.
n
CNC Turret experience is also an advantage but not essential.
n
What We Are Looking For
n
This position is not suited to someone who requires extensive training or supervision to operate a Brake Press.
n
The successful applicant will need to demonstrate that they can confidently interpret drawings, set up the machine and consistently produce products correctly to specification.
n
Reliability and attention to detail are essential.
n
Wages will be negotiated based on experience and skills.
n
