Cootamundra Hospital is seeking a Registered Midwife to join its maternity team on a 12-week contract basis, starting as soon as possible. This is an opportunity to deliver hands-on midwifery care in a regional NSW setting, supporting women through pregnancy, labour, and birth. The role is based in Cootamundra and suits an experienced midwife looking for versatile, meaningful work in a community healthcare environment.

Provide direct clinical care across the maternity pathway, from antenatal through to postnatal support
n
12-week contract with an immediate start date, offering flexibility for experienced practitioners
n
Work within a supportive regional hospital team committed to quality maternal and newborn care
n

Preferred Requirements
n

Current registration as a Registered Midwife with AHPRA
n
Demonstrated experience in birthing and labour care
n
Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
n
Strong communication skills and a woman-centred approach to care
n
Flexibility to adapt to the needs of a regional maternity service
n

Preferred Qualifications
n
n
Bachelor of Midwifery or equivalent qualification recognised by AHPRA
n
Current CPR and emergency resuscitation certification
n
Experience working in a hospital maternity setting or birthing centre
n
