About the role
Brisbane Private Hospital is seeking experienced Registered Nurses, with excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for delivering high quality patient care to join our established Paediatric & General Surgery unit on either a full time or part basis.
We are a 32 bed, fast paced, high turnover ward specialising in ENT/Orthopaedics/Plastics and Paediatrics (both adult and paeds), along with other general surgical specialities. Having many surgical specialities, this is an ideal role for a surgical nurse wanting to use and grow their skills.

Brisbane Private is a 181 bed acute and rehabilitation hospital with 17 operating theatres conveniently located above the Roma Street Parklands. Specialties include neurosurgery, orthopaedics, spinal, plastics, urology, ENT, Rehabilitation and general surgery and delivery of Brisbane's leading private drug and alcohol programs from Damascus Health Services.
As a Registered Nurse your duties will include:
Provide evidenced based nursing care
Liaise with the multi-disciplinary team
Ensure patient and staff safety
Supervise, direct and guide nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Assistants in Nursing (AINs) to deliver patient care




Deliver education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation or end of life needs
At least 2 years' experience as a Registered Nurse - (Paeds/adult experience desirable)
Current Registration with AHPRA
Commitment to Quality Patient Care
Sound clinical decision making and problem solving skills
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Works well independently and within a team
