The Opportunity An established and highly regarded Australian construction company is looking for an experienced Safety Advisor to join their Sydney team.
n
This is a great opportunity for a Safety Advisor who enjoys being out on site rather than sitting behind a desk. You will support a number of active construction projects across Sydney, travelling between sites and working closely with Project Managers, Site Managers, Supervisors, subcontractors and site teams.
n
With multiple projects running at any one time, no two days will look the same. You will have the prospect to build strong relationships across different project teams while playing a key role in maintaining high standards of health and safety across the business.

About the Role As a Safety Advisor, you will:
n
n
Provide proactive health and safety support across multiple construction projects throughout Sydney
n
Travel between project sites to conduct inspections, audits, safety observations and compliance checks
n
Conduct site inductions for employees, subcontractors and visitors
n
Support project teams with risk assessments, SWMS, incident investigations and corrective actions
n
Monitor site safety performance and identify opportunities for improvement
n
Provide practical safety advice, coaching and guidance to site teams
n
Deliver safety education and toolbox talks where required
n
Promote a positive safety culture through regular engagement with employees and subcontractors
n
Support the implementation and continuous improvement of Health,



Safety and Environmental Management Systems
n
Assist with injury management and return-to-work processes where required
n
Maintain accurate safety records, reports and compliance documentation
n
Build strong working relationships with project teams and key stakeholders across multiple sites
n
n
About You
n
You will be an experienced Safety Advisor who is confident working in a fast-paced construction environment and enjoys being hands-on across multiple projects.
n
Ideally, you will have:
n
n
Previous experience in a Safety Advisor, WHS Advisor or HSE Advisor role within construction
n
Experience working across commercial, residential, high-rise or major construction projects
n
Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and construction safety requirements
n
Experience conducting site inspections, audits and safety observations
n
Strong understanding of SWMS, risk assessments and incident management
n
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
n
The confidence to engage with Site Managers, subcontractors and project teams
n
A practical, solutions-focused approach to safety
n
Relevant WHS qualifications
n
A current driver's licence and the ability to travel between Sydney project sites
n
