Job Description
Leeton District Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join its Emergency Department on a 12-week contract basis, starting as soon as possible. This is an in-charge role in an acute care setting, offering the chance to lead a busy ED team in regional NSW. The successful candidate will bring strong clinical experience, proven leadership capability, and the ability to manage a high-volume environment with confidence and care.

Lead the ED team as in-charge, managing triage, acute presentations, and patient flow
n
12-week contract with immediate start, based in Leeton, NSW
n
Acute care environment with scope to practise advanced clinical skills and mentorship
n
n
Preferred Requirements
n
n
Registered Nurse with demonstrated acute care experience
n




Proven in-charge or team leadership experience in an emergency or acute setting
n
Triage experience is essential, with competence in rapid assessment and prioritisation
n
Current Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification
n
Strong clinical judgment and the ability to manage competing priorities in a quick-paced environment
n

Preferred Qualifications
n
n
Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent, with current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
n
Post-graduate qualification or demonstrated experience in emergency nursing
n
Additional certifications in trauma or critical care nursing are advantageous
n
