About Trade Import Services and Ritemate Workwear
Ritemate and its parent company Trade Import Services (TIS) is an Australian-owned workwear business supplying trade, construction and industrial customers across the country. We run four brands - Ritemate Workwear, RMX Workwear, Pilbara Collection and Pilbara Western - out of our Meadowbrook site, with a summer and a winter range released every year.
Our garments are made by long-standing manufacturing partners in China, and the production team in Meadowbrook is the link between them and everything that reaches our customers.
About the Role
The Production department is responsible for the full process of development, production and delivery from our factories overseas to our Meadowbrook warehouse. They ensure each item maintains the required quality; quantities match on order and arrival and oversee time frames from sample creation through to bulk delivery. You'll work in this team, supporting the production manager and other senior members with vital day-to-day tasks to assure this target is achieved.
A lot of the job is written - you'll be emailing our factories in China most days, in Mandarin, and keeping our own team updated in English. The rest is organisation: knowing where each style is up to and following things through until they're finished.
This is a genuine entry point into production and supply chain logistics. You do not need experience in apparel or importing. You need the language, the organisation, and the willingness to learn how it all fits together. Peter and team members will teach you the rest.




Your Responsibilities in this Role
Production & Supplier Coordination
Follow up bulk production and product development timelines with our factories
Communicate daily by email and phone in Mandarin to track progress, request updates and resolve queries with our factories.
Keep Peter and the wider team informed on where each order stands
Assist Peter with communicating the status of any production processes with company management
Sample & Product Management
Inspect samples, create accurate comments for suppliers to follow up in time.
Organise and maintain records of samples and documents across production processes
Track sample and production status across multiple product lines
Support quality control by following up product development and bulk production
Shipment & Documentation
Check shipment details and supporting documents for accuracy
Coordinate shipment information and documentation with the internal teams
Keep documentation complete and easy for others to find
General Administration
Maintain organised records across production processes
Support the wider team with administration and coordination as needed
About You
What you'll need
Fluent Mandarin, spoken and written.
You'll be dealing with our factories in China directly,



every day - this is also a requirement for accurate communication within the production team
Transparent written English.
Most of your day is email, and the team needs to be able to act on what you send
Permanent work rights in Australia
with no restrictions
Comfortable with Outlook, Excel and Word - the everyday level, not anything advanced
Organised, consistent, and the sort of person who follows something up rather than assuming it got done
Nice to have, but not expected
Any office, admin, retail or customer service experience - a first or second job is fine
Any exposure to apparel, textiles, importing or logistics
Study in business, logistics, supply chain or international trade
Any confidence and fluency with spoken English will assist with any conversations involving the wider team
What You'll Learn
Within a year you'll understand how a garment gets from a sketch to a shipping container: how samples are approved, fabric selection, garment requirements, testing, what the documentation means and why it matters, all the way through to communications with the receiving port. That's a foundation you can build a career on, and it's much easier to learn inside a business that makes its own product.
What's on Offer
$62,000 – $68,000 + superannuation, depending on experience
Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm, with a three-month probationary period
Training and ongoing support directly from Peter
