CPR Façade Upgrade Specialists is a family-owned Australian remedial building and façade contractor with more than 30 years' experience delivering complex façade remediation, building upgrades and maintenance projects across NSW and the ACT with current expansion into QLD.
We specialise in solving difficult building-envelope and façade problems, particularly on occupied and operational buildings where conventional access methods can be disruptive, expensive or impractical.
Our work combines building and remedial expertise with our own scaffold-free access technologies, including PEARS® and the SkyPod® Building Remedial Workstation, as well as QA systems (AIMMSTM). This allows our teams to investigate and deliver complex external building works using a very different model to conventional construction.

About the Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced
Project Builder/Engineer
to strengthen CPR's in-house building capability as the complexity and scope of our projects continue to grow. You will manage projects in the range of $500k to $3 million from inspection to execution, and with your contribution we expect this project value to grow.
The role will work closely with CPR's Project Management, Estimation, Safety and Operations teams and will act as a source of practical building knowledge for internal and external works where projects extend beyond our core façade and rope-access capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Undertake initial site inspections and building assessments to understand existing conditions, defects, access requirements, and potential construction methodology.
Assist with defect investigation and development of practical rectification solutions for water ingress, waterproofing failures, façade and building-envelope defects, concrete and structural repairs, balcony issues, passive fire deficiencies and associated building works.
Support the Estimation team by reviewing consultant documentation, identifying construction requirements, developing methodologies, determining required trades,



and providing practical input into scopes, sequencing, labour and project risks.
Liaise with structural and remedial engineers, architects, heritage consultants, certifiers, Design Practitioners, specialist subcontractors, suppliers and other project stakeholders as required.
Supervise building works on site and ensure works are completed in accordance with approved designs, specifications, relevant Australian Standards, NCC requirements, quality requirements and project documentation.
Monitor workmanship, QA requirements, inspections, hold points and rectification works and assist with project completion and handover working closely with CPR Project Management team.
Liaise professionally with clients, strata managers, owners corporations, consultants and other stakeholders and communicate technical issues in clear, practical language.
CPR's work primarily involves existing residential, commercial, institutional and mixed-use buildings. Experience working with
Class 2 residential buildings is particularly relevant
, with exposure to other NCC building classifications — including
Classes 3, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9
— advantageous as CPR's project portfolio continues to expand.
Qualifications & Experience
We are looking for someone with approximately
5–10+ years' relevant construction experience
, although capability and attitude are equally important.
The successful candidate will ideally have:
A relevant qualification in Building & Construction, Construction Management, Civil/Structural Engineering or a related discipline.
Demonstrated experience in Class 2 building construction, remediation, defect investigation, refurbishment or building renewal.
Ability to interpret drawings, engineering documentation, specifications and consultant reports.
Working knowledge of the NCC,



Australian Standards and relevant NSW building and construction requirements.
Confidence communicating directly with clients and professional consultants.
NSW Builder Practitioner registration, or eligibility to obtain appropriate registration is
highly regarded
.
Current White Card and unrestricted driver's licence.

Salary & Employment
Indicative salary: $120,000–$140,000 + superannuation
, depending on qualifications, building/remedial experience, licensing and demonstrated capability.
A vehicle or car allowance may also form part of the overall package depending on the requirements of the successful candidate and position.
This is a permanent, full-time Sydney-based role involving a combination of office and project-site work.
