The Opportunity

Our client is a well-established Tier 2 construction builder based in Paddington, Sydney, with a strong track record of delivering quality projects across the construction sector.
n
They are seeking an experienced HR Manager to take ownership of the HR function and provide strategic and hands-on support across the business. This is a key role for an HR professional who enjoys working closely with senior leadership and operational teams within a fast-paced construction environment.

The Role
n
As the HR Manager, you will be responsible for managing the full employee lifecycle while providing trusted HR and IR advice across the organisation. Your responsibilities will include:
n
n
Managing industrial relations (IR) and employee relations (ER) matters, including Award and Enterprise Agreement interpretation, performance, grievances and disciplinary processes
n
Developing, implementing and maintaining HR policies and procedures
n
Providing practical HR advice and guidance to senior leadership, project teams and employees
n
Supporting workforce planning and organisational development
n
Managing performance management and employee engagement initiatives
n
Ensuring compliance with Fair Work legislation, employment legislation and relevant industry requirements
n
Reviewing and improving HR processes,



systems and practices
n
Supporting remuneration reviews, employment contracts and workforce changes
n
Partnering with operational teams across the business to address people-related matters
n
n
Requirements:
n
n
8–10 years of HR experience, with solid generalist HR exposure
n
Previous experience working within the construction, building, engineering or related industry
n
Strong knowledge and practical experience across IR and ER
n
Demonstrated experience developing and implementing HR policies and procedures
n
Strong understanding of Fair Work legislation, Modern Awards and Enterprise Agreements
n
Robust stakeholder management and communication skills
n
Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on
n
Commercially minded with strong problem-solving skills
n
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, project-driven environment
n
