Job Description
As a Gaming Attendant, you'll play an important role in creating a welcoming, enjoyable and responsible gaming experience for our guests. Working as part of our friendly venue team, you'll provide attentive customer service, maintain a clean and inviting gaming environment, and ensure all gaming activities are conducted in accordance with Queensland legislation and responsible gambling requirements. This is a hands‐on customer service role suited to someone who enjoys engaging with people, takes pride in providing exceptional service and is comfortable working in a fast‐paced hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

Provide friendly, professional and attentive service to patrons within the gaming area
n
Assist patrons with gaming machine enquiries and provide general information regarding gaming facilities and services
n
Conduct gaming payouts and gaming‐related transactions accurately and in accordance with venue procedures and regulatory requirements
n
Monitor the gaming floor and respond promptly to patron requests and service requirements
n
Promote and adhere to responsible gambling practices, including recognising and appropriately responding to indicators of gambling harm
n
Maintain an awareness of self‐exclusion requirements and elevate responsible gambling matters in accordance with venue procedures
n
Ensure gaming machines, surrounding areas and customer facilities are clean, tidy and well presented
n
Accurately handle cash and complete required reconciliations, documentation and gaming records




n
Report gaming machine faults or maintenance requirements to the appropriate team member or service provider
n
Assist with beverage service and other general venue duties as required

About you

QLD RSG (Responsible Service of Gambling)
n
QLD RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol)
n
Previous experience in gaming, hospitality or customer service is highly regarded
n
A friendly, approachable and professional manner with a genuine passion for customer service
n
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with patrons and team members
n
A valuable understanding of responsible gambling practices and the importance of maintaining a safe and compliant gaming environment
n
Ability to remain calm, professional and discreet when handling customer enquiries or sensitive situations
n
Strong attention to detail, particularly when handling cash, gaming payouts and gaming‐related transactions
n
Flexibility to work across a rotating roster, including evenings, weekends and public holidays
n
Confidence using point‐of‐sale, gaming and other venue operating systems
n
