Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate, skilled and reliable disability support worker to support an NDIS participant located near the Australian National University (ANU) in the ACT.

Key responsibilities

Provide person-centred support in accordance with the participant's support plan, preferences and goals
n
Support community access, social participation and recreational activities
n
Encourage independence, choice and decision-making
n
Maintain a calm, safe and structured workplace
n
Complete accurate shift notes and promptly report incidents or concerns
n
n
About you
n
n
Previous disability-support experience, including in-home and community-based support
n
Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
n




Current Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration
n
Current First Aid and CPR certificates
n
Valid Australian driver's licence and access to a reliable, insured vehicle
n
Understanding of the NDIS Code of Conduct
n
Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module
n
Legal right to work in Australia
n
Current National Police Check
n
Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability or Community Services, or another relevant qualification, is highly regarded
