Vehicle Detector Loop Installer
to join our team on a

, this role is fundamental to the installation and maintenance of vehicle detection systems that are critical to traffic management and road safety infrastructure. As a Vehicle Detector Loop Installer, you will be responsible for the precise installation of inductive loop detectors in road surfaces, ensuring these systems function correctly to monitor vehicle presence and traffic flow. This position offers the opportunity to work on essential infrastructure projects that directly impact road safety and traffic efficiency across New South Wales.
Key responsibilities
Install vehicle detector loops in road surfaces according to design specifications and technical drawings
Prepare road surfaces and cut slots to the required depth and specifications for loop installation
Lay and connect inductive loop wire
Conduct testing and commissioning of installed loop systems to verify functionality and accuracyMaintain accurate records of installations, including locations, measurements and completion details
Adhere to all health and safety regulations and site-specific safety protocols
Collaborate with traffic management personnel and project supervisors to ensure timely project completion
Troubleshoot and resolve common installation issues and technical challenges
Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition and report any defects or maintenance needs
