As we continue to expand across Australia and Recent Zealand, we're looking for a passionate and people-focused Assistant Store Manager to join our growing retail team.
n
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced retail leader who enjoys coaching large teams, delivering exceptional customer experiences, and driving strong commercial outcomes in a fast-paced environment. Based in our Melbourne Walk store, you'll support the leadership of a large-format, retail environment and a team of approximately 25 employees, playing a key role in developing a high-performing team and driving commercial success.

What You'll Do
n
Lead & Develop the Team
n
n
Coach, motivate and develop a large and diverse retail team
n
Support recruitment, onboarding and training activities
n
Provide ongoing feedback, coaching and performance support
n
Assist with formal performance management conversations when required
n
Help build a positive, accountable and high-performing team culture
n
Identify and develop future leaders within the store team
n
n
Drive Commercial Results
n

Support achievement of sales targets and KPIs
n
Analyse store performance and identify opportunities for improvement
n
Create a customer-focused and sales-driven workplace
n
Utilise reporting tools, including Excel and Google Sheets, to support operational and commercial decision-making
n
Support labour productivity through effective roster planning and workforce management
n
n
Support Store Operations
n
n
Assist with roster planning and workforce management aligned to labour budgets
n
Maintain inventory accuracy and store presentation standards
n
Ensure policies, procedures and compliance requirements are met
n
Support product launches, promotional events and peak trading periods
n
Help coordinate operations across a large-format, multi-level retail environment
n
n
Who You Are
n
n
An experienced Assistant Store Manager, Retail Manager, Supervisor or 2IC with experience leading medium to large teams
n
Passionate about customer experience and team development
n
Confident coaching, training and leading others
n
Experienced managing team performance and providing constructive feedback
n
Commercially aware and KPI focused
n
Comfortable using Excel and Google Sheets for reporting and workforce planning
n
Organised, adaptable and solutions focused
n
Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-volume retail environments
n
Ready to lead larger teams and support the success of a flagship retail location
n

Availability Requirements
n
n
Flexible availability across all 7 days is required
n
Typical rosters include weekends, late-night trading and public holidays
n
We aim to provide structured rosters with two consecutive days off in a standard week, supporting work-life balance and roster consistency
n
While rosters are planned in advance, flexibility to support business needs, peak trading periods and major product launches is expected
n
Availability throughout peak trading periods, including November to January, is essential
n
n
Full and permanent Australian working rights are required.
