Job Description
This role is ideal for a capable and self-driven Mechanical Engineer who understands HVAC pipework and tube systems in detail, and can confidently take ownership of technical work, solve problems independently, and deliver high-quality outcomes.

You will play a key role across the team giving engineering technical support, ensuring compliance standards, and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Support the Project Manager in delivering HVAC projects across hospitals, data centres, rail infrastructure, and commercial buildings
n
Prepare and review technical documentation, drawings, and design details
n
Ensure all work complies with relevant building codes, Australian Standards, and client requirements
n
Support site teams during implementation and delivery phases
n
Review, prepare, and submit tender pricing in accordance with specifications
n
Provide HVAC/mechanical engineering input during tender stages
n
Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing
n




Provide technical advice to project managers, supervisors, and internal teams
n
Prepare handover documentation for new projects
n
n
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
n
n
Minimum 2+ years' experience in mechanical engineering, preferably within HVAC
n
Experience across sectors such as healthcare, data centres, commercial or education
n
Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design tools
n
Solid understanding of HVAC systems, particularly pipework and mechanical services
n
Sound knowledge of Australian Standards, building codes, and compliance requirements
n
Ability to work independently and make sound engineering decisions
n
Solid communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
n
A reliable, proactive, and solutions-focused mindset with a strong sense of ownership
