Prince of Peace Lutheran College is seeking an experienced accountant to take responsibility for its day-to-day accounting, financial control and statutory reporting. Reporting to the Business Manager, you will hold a hands‐on position with genuine breadth, where your work directly supports the College's budgeting, cash flow and long‐term financial planning.
The role:
Complete month‐end and year‐end processes, and prepare monthly reporting with budget variance analysis
Manage fee debtors, including aged account follow up, payment arrangements and liaison with EdStart
Oversee payroll delivered by the College's external provider, and review accounts payable processes
Prepare or coordinate BAS, GST, FBT, payroll tax and PAYG, and support the annual external audit
Maintain internal controls across receivables, payables, payroll and banking
About you:




Tertiary qualification in accounting, commerce or a related discipline, with CPA, CA or IPA membership (or progress towards it) highly desirable
Proven experience in month‐end reporting, reconciliations, taxation and internal controls
Practical exposure to accounts receivable, accounts payable and payroll oversight
Advanced Excel skills
The ability to hold sensitive fee conversations with families with tact and professionalism
Experience in education or not‐for‐profit is highly regarded
A current Working with Children clearance, or the ability to obtain one before commencing
