Lead the Commercial Growth of One of Queensland's Newest Hotels.
Avani Mooloolaba Beach Hotel is seeking an experienced, driven and relationship focused Sales Manager to drive the hotel's sales strategy across conferencing and events, corporate and government accommodation, group business and trade partnerships.
Revenue growth is the priority for this role. We are looking for an ambitious, proactive sales qualified who is motivated by winning new business, building influential client relationships and delivering measurable results. You will arrive with established relationships across professional conference organisers, associations, corporate and government buyers in Queensland, and you will be comfortable travelling regularly for trade shows, sales missions and client meetings.
This is a highly visible commercial role. You will own a revenue budget across accommodation, conferencing and events, and you will be measured on new accounts opened, pipeline value and the business you convert. You will have the support of hotel leadership, revenue management and marketing, along with the autonomy to own your pipeline and your market activity.

Key Responsibilities
Proven experience in hotel sales, with a track record of winning conference and group business you have sourced yourself
Established relationships with professional conference organisers, associations, corporate and government buyers in Queensland
A demonstrated record of meeting or exceeding revenue budgets
Confidence working with pipeline value, conversion rates and account production against potential
Solid contracting, RFP and negotiation skills




Willingness to travel regularly for trade shows, sales missions and client meetings
Full Australian working rights
What We're Looking For
Spend the majority of your week in market, meeting clients and generating recent business
Open and grow new corporate, government, association and conference organiser accounts
Own the annual sales budget across accommodation, conferencing and events
Host site inspections and famils at the hotel each month
Secure a place on convention bureau bid lists and organiser panels, and lead the bids that follow
Report on recent accounts opened, pipeline value and conversion each quarter
Develop first time clients into repeat contracted business
