The Opportunity
We're looking for an experiencedAsste Management Lead to join our team, working directly with clients across a range of commodities on a range of interim placement and asset management improvement initiatives focused on mobile fleet operations. This is a consulting role, not a permanent site position - you'll be engaged on assignments with clients across Australia, stepping into interim leadership roles at superintendent level as required.
This role suits an experienced Asset Manager looking to make the switch from an operational leadership role into consulting, or an existing consultant, bringing genuine site-based asset management experience into a client advisory setting.
What You'll Be Doing
Stepping into interim Mobile Asset Management Lead(or equivalent) roles at client sites, providing immediate operational leadership and continuity
Diagnosing mobile fleet maintenance and reliability performance issues across haul trucks, excavators, dozers, graders, loaders and ancillary equipment
Supporting the design and rollout of asset management improvement initiatives, maintenance strategies, and reliability programs across mobile fleet operations
Advising clients on maintenance leadership development, site leadership programs and supervisory transition initiatives
Leading or supporting operating model reviews, including comparisons of owner-operator versus outsourced, contracted or OEM maintenance and repair models
Building strong working relationships with client stakeholders, from site-based maintenance teams through to corporate asset management and executive leadership
Travelling to client sites across a range of commodities and regions to deliver hands-on support, assessments and interim leadership coverage
Preparing client-ready reports,



findings and recommendations that translate site-level asset management insights into practical, actionable improvement plans
Contributing to the continuous improvement of Xenco's asset management consulting methodologies, tools and frameworks
What We're Looking For
Proven experience at Superintendent level within a mining, resources or heavy industrial mobile fleet setting, genuine site-based asset management experience is essential
Strong generalist asset management capability across mobile fleet maintenance strategy, reliability, planning and scheduling, and major component change-out/rebuild management
Comfortable stepping into interim leadership positions and operating as an external advisor, building trust and credibility quickly with client stakeholders
A strong consulting mindset, with the ability to diagnose problems, structure practical solutions and deliver hands-on implementation support
Willingness and ability to travel to client sites as required, including extended interim placements
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to advise and influence senior leaders
Self-motivated and comfortable working autonomously across multiple concurrent client engagements
