ACT Steelworks is seeking a reliable and experienced Heavy Vehicle Operator to join our team. This is a hands‐on role involving deliveries, loading and unloading, and general yard duties.

About the role
n
We're looking for an experienced Heavy Vehicle Operator to join our team. You'll be behind the wheel of our heavy transport fleet, helping with loading and unloading activities, and working alongside a outstanding crew in a fast‐paced steel fabrication environment.
n
Key Duties
n
Operate heavy vehicles for deliveries and pick-ups
n
Load and unload trucks using crane and forklift
n
Secure loads in accordance with requirements
n
Assist with yard operations, material handling, and general duties
n
Conduct pre‐start checks and maintain vehicle condition
n




Work in line with WHS and Chain of Responsibility obligations
n
Valid HC or MC Licence
n
CV or C2 Licence
n
Proven experience in loading and unloading operations
n
Ability to work safely in a workshop and yard environment
n
Strong understanding of load restraint and transport compliance
n
Additional Requirements
n
Provide 5-10 year driving record
n
Good communication and teamwork skills
n
Physically fit and capable of manual tasks
n
Experience working in steel, construction, or fabrication environments
n
Dogging or rigging tickets
n
