We are looking for a compassionate and motivated Lawyer to join our growing team. This role is full-time, however, we will consider part-time options. Experience in Family Law is preferred and experience in other areas of law is highly desirable but not essential.
Key responsibilities
Assisting with parenting, property settlement, divorce, domestic violence and child protection matters.
Listening carefully to clients and helping them feel heard, respected and supported
Communicating sensitive legal information clearly and compassionately.
Conducting legal research and preparing written advice
Drafting correspondence, affidavits, court documents, consent orders and other legal documents
Assisting with disclosure, evidence preparation and court filing
Communicating professionally with clients, opposing solicitors, barristers, experts and court staff
Attending client conferences, mediations, mentions and court hearings
Managing deadlines and maintaining accurate electronic files
Supporting the Principal Solicitor with complex and sensitive matters
About you
Admission, or eligibility for admission, as a solicitor in Queensland
Approximately one to three years of post-admission experience, preferably in family law.
A compassionate, patient and non-judgmental approach.
The emotional maturity to assist clients experiencing distress, uncertainty or conflict.
Strong legal research, drafting and communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational ability.




The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
The ability to work independently while contributing to a supportive team.
Professionalism honesty and respect toward all client, co-workers and stakeholders.
