Kiama Dental
is growing our team and looking for a
Part time Dental Assistant/Receptionist
who is approachable, organised and enjoys being part of a busy practice.
This position would suit someone who likes having a bit of everything in their day. You'll spend time supporting our dentists and patients in the surgery, as well as helping out at reception and keeping the administrative side of the practice on track.
We're looking for someone who is happy to
pitch in, learn and take ownership of their responsibilities
.
What your day might look like
From welcoming a patient in the morning to assisting in surgery, processing a payment or getting the rooms ready for the next appointment, you'll be involved in the different parts of the practice.
Your responsibilities will include:
Welcoming patients and providing a friendly first point of contact
Managing incoming calls, enquiries and bookings
Handling reception administration and patient payments
Using EFTPOS and HICAPS
Preparing surgeries and patients for treatment
Chairside assisting and supporting our dentists
Cleaning and turning over rooms between appointments
Instrument processing and sterilisation
Following infection control and hygiene procedures




Helping with general practice duties as required

You don't necessarily need to tick every box — we're more interested in finding the right person for our team.
Ideally, you will have:
Previous dental experience, with
1+ years preferred
Experience with
CareStack
is highly regarded
A confident and friendly communication style
A genuine interest in looking after patients
Good attention to detail and strong organisational skills
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
A willingness to learn new skills and take on different responsibilities
A calm and professional approach when things get busy
A little about the opportunity
This is a
Part-Time position
within a practice where you'll have the chance to work across both clinical and reception areas.
You are ideally available Monday, Tuesday and Friday's.
