Programmed Apprenticeships & Traineeships, in partnership with our client, is looking for motivated individuals to join the team as Apprentice Mechanical Fitters based in Kilkenny, SA.

What You'll Learn
n
Throughout your apprenticeship, you'll develop the skills to:
n

Maintain, repair and install mechanical equipment
n




Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
n
Assist with fault finding and mechanical repairs
n
Work with machinery and mechanical components
n
Help keep equipment operating safely and reliably
n
Complete practical on‐the‐job training alongside your TAFE studies
n
n
No previous mechanical fitting experience is required - we're looking for people with the right attitude and willingness to learn.

About You
n

Have a genuine interest in mechanical fitting and working with your hands
n
Are reliable, hardworking and keen to learn
n
Have strong communication and teamwork skills
n
Enjoy problem‐solving and taking on new challenges
n
Are committed to completing your apprenticeship and required TAFE training
n
Can demonstrate teamwork through work, school, team sports or group activities
n
Hold a Certificate II Pre‐Apprenticeship in Engineering - highly regarded, but not essential
n
Are willing to obtain/provide a National Police Clearance
n
Can pass a pre‐employment medical, including drug and alcohol testing
n

Location & Travel
n
Your apprenticeship will be based in Kilkenny, SA, however you may work across the Adelaide region throughout your apprenticeship to gain broader trade experience.
n
There may also be opportunities for occasional travel or working away on projects as required by the business.
n
