Lead Specialist Model and Resource Geologist
n
Provide specialist resource geology expertise to Bumi Resources Australia Pty Ltd (BRA) – the Australian sub-holding company for PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI)'s non-coal mineral portfolio. The Lead Specialist – Model and Resource Geology is accountable to the Chief Technical Officer for mineral resource estimation, geological modelling, and resource reporting that underpin BRA's subsidiary assets.

Key responsibilities

Deliver mineral resource estimates for BRA's subsidiary assets to recognised standards, applying geostatistical methods and sound estimation practice to resource modelling
n
Deliver three-dimensional geological and grade models for BRA's subsidiary deposits, applying sound geological interpretation and domaining to model construction
n
Deliver exploration and resource definition support, including drilling programme input, applying sampling, quality assurance and control, and data-integrity protocols
n
Support mineral resource reporting under recognised reporting codes, applying competent-person and technical-governance standards to resource reporting
n
Apply BUMI Group technical standards in BRA resource geology and estimation, supporting technical reporting to the Group Head – Technical Services and the BUMI parent
n
Observe BRA safety requirements and demonstrate personal safety leadership in all work activities, applying critical controls and protected work practice when working at or visiting BRA mine sites
n
Work within the approved budget and apply cost-conscious practice in the area of work
n




Identify and support improvement initiatives within the area of technical work, supporting a culture of continuous improvement by adopting sound technical practice
n
Contribute as an effective team member to the BRA function, modelling BUMI Group values and contributing to a constructive and professional team culture
n
Share technical knowledge and support capability building across the BRA team

About you
n
Bachelor's degree in Geology, Geoscience, or a closely related discipline
n
Solid experience in mineral resource estimation and geological modelling
n
Demonstrated track record of resource estimation, geostatistics, and resource classification
n
Familiarity with resource reporting under recognised codes and competent-person practice
n
Experience with resource estimation and geological modelling software and technical tools
n
Eligibility to work at and access mine sites under Queensland mining requirements
n
Right to work in Australia
n
Strong safety awareness; integrates safety into geological fieldwork and technical practice
n
Technical rigour and accuracy; produces robust, defensible resource estimates
n
Sound geological judgement; interprets ore bodies and geological data soundly
