Indus Engineering Pty Ltd is a leading engineering and construction firm specialising in infrastructure and civil projects across Australia. Our team provides design services and project management services for civil infrastructure projects.

We are currently seeking a versatile and multi-skilled Civil Engineer to join our team in Sydney. The ideal candidate will be a adaptable professional capable of multitasking across diverse technical areas, including preparing civil design, Primavera P6 project scheduling, first-principles cost estimation, and on-site project execution.

Key Responsibilities:
n
Design, plan, develop, and oversee civil engineering works, including pipelines, drainage, structural, and infrastructure projects.
n
Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
n
Develop and maintain project work programs using Primavera P6 / MS Project.
n
Perform quantity take-offs and BOQ reconciliation for civil works.
n
Analyse project risks, prepare technical specifications, and manage variation orders and Extension of Time (EOT) evaluations.
n
Conduct site inspections, technical assessments, and feasibility studies to ensure compliance with Australian Standards, WHS, and building codes.
n
Prepare Construction Methodologies technical specifications and ensuring compliance with Australian standards and local regulations
n




Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including structural, electrical, and environmental engineers
n
Utilise AutoCAD and other engineering software to prepare detailed design.
n
Assist in the procurement of subcontractors and materials based on project requirements
n
Identify and resolve potential engineering challenges.
n
Collaborate with project managers, client representatives, contractors, and multidisciplinary project teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.
n
Skills & Experience Required:
n
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
n
Minimum 3+ years of experience in civil engineering projects.
n
Strong knowledge of AutoCAD and relevant engineering software.
n
Strong knowledge of civil project controls, cost estimation, project scheduling, or design methodologies.
n
Understanding of Australian Standards, WHS regulations, and building codes.
n
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
n
Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
n
Prior experience in major civil infrastructure and water/wastewater networks projects is highly desirable.
