We are seeking passionate, creative and dedicated Support Workers to join team WISE!
The ideal candidate will not only be compassionate and dedicated but also possess the ability to think outside the box and use creativity to enhance the lives of those they support, tailoring solutions to empower individuals we support to confidently navigate life-long learning, life transitions, increasing independence and achieving their goals. The role involves, engaging individuals in employment readiness, volunteer pathways, work experience, meaningful engagement and skill building.
The role also includes amazing opportunities working in a creative space including the arts, woodwork, multimedia, music, gaming and sporting. This is a fantastic and rewarding opportunity to assist individuals to enhance, discover and express their many talents, build self-confidence, and help achieve greater independence.
What we are looking for:
Demonstrated experience working with people with a disability either in a professional environment or may be demonstrated through non-professional means or life experience;
A sound understanding of disability and the effect on social relationships, independent living, daily needs, physical health, vocational and employment needs of these clients;
Demonstrated experience in supporting participants with their individualised plans and goals with a capacity building focus
Possess excellent communication skills, including written and verbal, as well as negotiation and interpersonal skills;
Ability to identify, organise and utilise relevant resources effectively as tools to work with participants;
Ability to function as a constructive and collaborative member of a small cohesive team;
Demonstrates qualities of empathy,



compassion and integrity;
Possess a current valid driver's license and own transport
Please note the following Mandatory Pre-employment Screenings will be required prior to being offered a role with WISE, these will include;
Australian National Police Check, including Right to work in Australia (conducted by WISE)
NDIS Workers Screening Check (fee payable by candidate)
Working with Children's check
(WWCC)
