Amcal Express Ultimo is seeking a friendly, reliable and motivated Pharmacy Assistant / Dispensary Technician to join our growing community pharmacy in Ultimo.

Opened earlier this year and conveniently located within a busy medical centre, Amcal Express Ultimo is quickly becoming a trusted healthcare destination for the local community.

This is initially a part-time position with genuine potential to progress to full-time for the right candidate. With family-friendly weekday hours that align closely with school drop-off and pick-up times, the role may particularly suit someone seeking consistent work during school hours.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Pharmacy Assistant or Dispensary Technician to join a new and expanding pharmacy, contribute to its continued growth and help deliver an exceptional customer experience.

ABOUT THE ROLE
n
As a Pharmacy Assistant / Dispensary Technician, you will be one of the first points of contact for our customers while supporting the day-to-day retail and dispensary operations of the pharmacy.
n
Depending on your qualifications and experience, your responsibilities will include:
n
n
Providing friendly, professional and attentive customer service
n
Assisting customers with pharmacy products and general enquiries
n
Processing sales accurately through the point-of-sale system
n
Supporting dispensary workflow where appropriately trained and authorised
n
Assisting with Dose Administration Aid (DAA) packing where appropriately trained
n
Receiving, unpacking and replenishing pharmacy stock
n
Maintaining shelves,



displays and promotional stock
n
Assisting with stock control, inventory management and expiry-date checking
n
Maintaining a clean, organised and welcoming pharmacy environment
n
Supporting the pharmacist and wider pharmacy team with daily operations
n
n
ABOUT YOU
n
To succeed in this role, you will ideally bring:
n
n
Previous experience in community pharmacy, retail or customer service
n
Excellent computer literacy and confidence learning new pharmacy systems
n
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
n
Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability
n
A friendly, professional and customer-focused approach
n
Reliability, initiative and a positive attitude
n
The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a small team
n
Flexibility to support the pharmacy's changing operational requirements
n

HIGHLY REGARDED
n
Candidates with any of the following experience are strongly encouraged to apply:
n
n
Previous community pharmacy experience
n
Dispensary Technician qualifications or relevant dispensary experience
n
Dose Administration Aid (DAA) or Webster-pak packing experience
n
Experience with FRED Dispense or FRED POS
n
Knowledge of pharmacy products, stock control and dispensary workflow
n
n
