About the Role:
n
As the Director of Care, you will be responsible for the ongoing, successful management of all aspects of care, while maintaining the mission and values of the organization.
n
We are looking for a candidate with solid aged care background, strong clinical skills, and the ability to oversee quality, who acts with empathy, and is proactive in staff management.
n
What we're looking for:

We're looking for someone who has:
n
n
Qualified Registered Nurse with current AHPRA Registration with minimum 5 years Australian Nursing experience in Aged Care
n
Current role as Director of Care or Assistant Director of Care is preferable
n
Strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
n
Ability to build relationships with people at all levels.
n
In depth understanding of Aged Care legislation.
n
In depth understanding of Aged Care Accreditation Standards.
n
Strong IT skills including previous experience using a care management system
n
A robust approach to managing your time effectively and ability to work within deadlines
n
Ability to promote innovative improvements
n
Focus on CQI
n




Postgraduate qualifications in Gerontology or Administration (desirable).

Key Responsibilities:
n
n
Lead, mentor, and manage clinical and support teams to deliver excellence in resident care.
n
Ensure compliance with Accreditation Standards and Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission requirements.
n
Oversee admissions, discharges, and occupancy management.
n
Implement and maintain quality improvement, infection control, and work health & safety programs.
n
Manage budgets, resources, and procurement within organisational guidelines.
n
Foster strong relationships with residents, families, staff, and the wider community.
n
