West HQ is looking for an experienced IT Systems Administrator to join our ICT team. Reporting to the Head of ICT, you'll play a key role in supporting, maintaining and improving the technology infrastructure that keeps our venues and operations running.
n
This is a hands-on role with exposure to a broad range of enterprise technologies across hospitality, entertainment, fitness and operational environments.
n
The day-to-day:
n
n
Administer and maintain server, virtualisation, storage and backup infrastructure
n
Manage Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Entra ID and associated identity services
n
Monitor infrastructure performance, capacity, security and availability
n
Manage security patching, vulnerability remediation and system maintenance
n
Provide Level 2 and Level 3 technical support for infrastructure-related issues
n
Support Cisco networking, switching, wireless, VPN and firewall environments
n
Support operational technology including CCTV, telephony and paging systems
n
Assist with infrastructure upgrades, migrations and technology projects
n
Work with technology vendors and managed service providers to resolve technical issues
n
Maintain system documentation, diagrams and technical knowledge
n
Participate in planned after-hours maintenance and emergency support when required
n

We're looking for a hands-on and solutions-focused IT professional who takes ownership, enjoys troubleshooting and can confidently work across a broad technology environment.

You'll Bring:
n
n
Extensive experience in Systems Administration, Infrastructure Support or a similar technical role
n
Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Entra ID, Microsoft Intune and Microsoft 365
n
Experience with virtualisation, server infrastructure, storage and backup technologies
n
Experience supporting Cisco networking, enterprise switching, wireless, VPNs and firewalls
n
A sound understanding of network troubleshooting, cybersecurity and infrastructure best practices
n
Experience with security patching, vulnerability management and endpoint protection
n
PowerShell scripting and automation skills
n
Strong troubleshooting, communication and documentation skills
n
The ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders, vendors and technology partners
n
n
Experience with Azure, VMware, Meraki, CrowdStrike, Defender, Veeam or SIEM platforms will be highly regarded, along with relevant Microsoft, VMware, Cisco or ITIL certifications.
