We are seeking a dedicated Automotive Paint Prepper to join our team in Ashmore, Queensland. This permanent, full-time position is essential for ensuring that vehicles are properly prepared for painting, contributing to the overall quality and finish of our automotive services. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining our high standards of workmanship and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
Prepare vehicles for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking surfaces to ensure a smooth finish.
Mix and match paint colours according to specifications and ensure proper application techniques are followed.
Inspect surfaces for imperfections and rectify any issues prior to painting.
Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.




Collaborate with the painting team to ensure timely completion of projects.
Keep accurate records of materials used and report any discrepancies to management.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as an automotive paint prepper or in a similar role is required.
A solid understanding of automotive paint processes and techniques.
Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate clearly.
Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high‐quality work.
Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations in an automotive workshop.
