Adventist Aged Care has a casual Maintenance position available at Kings Langley, working 2–3 days per week. The successful applicant will be responsible for general maintenance of buildings, equipment and grounds. This is a casual, project-based position and is not a full-time role.

Key responsibilities
n

Undertake maintenance jobs, including those requiring carpentry skills
n
Take on project work requiring the ability to work autonomously
n
Respond to maintenance requests with a sense of urgency
n
Maintain and repair equipment and grounds in a safe working environment
n
Undertake routine maintenance works under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor when required
n
Perform other maintenance duties and tasks not limited to those listed above
n

About you
n

Understanding of corrective and preventive maintenance programs
n
Understanding of chemical handling and storage
n
Knowledge of how to safely use and store gases and flammable products
n
Willingness to learn and be taught on the job
n
Willing and helpful attitude
n
Ability to work as part of a team and deal kindly and positively with a wide range of people in day-to-day working conditions, particularly within an elderly resident environment
n
Commitment to delivering high-quality work
n
Positive approach and willingness to learn
n
Valuable level of physical fitness
n
Trade certificate ideal. In-depth experience will also look upon favourably.
