Test Operator – Quality & Laboratory – Steel Industry

Play a key role in ensuring product quality, compliance and continuous improvement across a leading steel manufacturing environment.
n
We're looking for a hands‐on Test Operator to join the laboratory and quality team, responsible for the daily testing of manufactured products and ensuring results are accurately recorded, reviewed and reported.
n
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a practical laboratory environment and wants to build their experience across testing, quality assurance, technical support and continuous improvement.

What you'll be doing:
n
n
Collecting and preparing product samples from manufacturing operations
n
Conducting tensile and re‐bend testing across a range of products
n
Reviewing test results and identifying non‐conforming product
n
Accurately recording and reporting test results within required timeframes
n
Preparing data for quality and compliance reporting
n
Supporting investigations into non‐conforming products
n
Providing technical support to manufacturing, R&D; and new product development
n
Supporting internal and external audits
n
Identifying opportunities to improve laboratory processes,



efficiency and quality outcomes
n
Following laboratory procedures and the requirements of AS ISO/IEC *****
n
Maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality and regulatory compliance
n
n
What we're looking for:

Experience in a laboratory, testing, manufacturing or quality environment
n
Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to testing and data recording
n
An understanding of quality systems, testing procedures and compliance requirements
n
Strong communication and problem‐solving skills
n
The ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a wider team
n
A proactive approach to identifying issues and driving continuous improvement
n
A solid commitment to workplace health and safety
n
n
