Job Description
DCM Building Co is looking to immediately fill a permanent full-time position of Carpenter. The role involves constructing, erecting, installing and repairing structures using hand tools and power tools, working with timber and related materials.

Key responsibilities

Construct, erect, install and repair structures of wood, plywood and wallboard, using carpenters hand tools and power tools
n
Install timber frameworks
n
Read and interpret technical drawings
n
Measure, cut and shape timber
n
Identify defects and perform repairs
n
Construct formwork
n
Identify required materials, along with placing orders and selecting materials
n
n
About you
n
n
At least 2 years experience in a similar role with a robust understanding of the construction industry
n
Excellent attitude to work and professional at all times
n
The ability to liaise confidently with other trades people and company contacts
n
A 'can do, get it right first time' attitude
n
Be consistent and able to work well in a team
n
Be able to perform well under pressure and to tight deadlines
