Terra Firma Laboratories is a leading provider of construction materials testing services across Australia. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Soil Technician to join our Pakenham-based team.

About the Role
n
As a Soil Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out field testing in accordance with Australian Standards while maintaining the highest level of quality, accuracy and professionalism.
n
Key responsibilities include:
n
n
Carrying out field density and compaction testing.
n
Performing testing in accordance with AS ****, including AS **********.
n
Recording accurate field results and completing required documentation.
n
Maintaining testing equipment and company vehicles.
n
Liaising professionally with clients, contractors and project personnel.
n
Working safely while complying with company procedures and NATA requirements.
n
n
What We're Looking For
n
Essential
n
n
Previous experience working within a NATA-accredited construction materials testing laboratory.
n
Current Nuclear Density Gauge (NDG) Licence.
n
Demonstrated experience performing soil testing in accordance with AS ****, particularly AS **********.
n
Current Australian Driver's Licence.
n
Strong commitment to safety,



quality and attention to detail.
n
Excellent communication skills.
n
Ability to work independently and within a team.
n

Desirable
n
n
Certificate III in Laboratory Skills, Civil Construction, or equivalent qualification.
n
Experience across additional construction materials testing disciplines.
n
n
Australian Industry Experience Required
n
Applicants must have previous Australian construction materials testing experience.
n
You should have a sound understanding of Australian Standards, local site practices and the expectations of working within a NATA-accredited environment. Experience carrying out field testing in accordance with AS ****, particularly AS **********, is essential.
n

This is a Pakenham-based position.

Applicants must currently reside in Victoria or be willing to relocate to Victoria at their own expense.
