n An exciting opportunity is available for a Consultant Anaesthetist to join the growing Surgical and Perioperative Services Division at Latrobe Regional Health (LRH).
n
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Anaesthetist seeking a role within a supportive, multidisciplinary environment where you will provide high-quality anaesthetic and perioperative care across inpatient and outpatient services.
n
The successful candidate will contribute to clinical leadership, supervision and education of junior medical staff, service planning and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
n About the Role As an Anaesthetist at Latrobe Regional Health, you will:

Deliver safe, high-quality anaesthetic care across a range of inpatient and outpatient settings.
n
Ensure clinical practice complies with LRH policies, relevant legislation and current clinical guidelines.
n
Provide comprehensive and accurate clinical documentation, including treatment plans, patient outcomes and clinical events.
n
Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure effective communication and clinical handover.
n
Provide supervision, support and clinical leadership to junior medical staff, medical students and other health professional learners.
n
Contribute to the development, implementation and review of clinical protocols and guidelines.
n
Participate in service improvement and continuous professional development initiatives.
n
Contribute to a culture of safe, high-quality, person-centred care.
n

n About You To be successful in this role, you will have:
n
n
MBBS or equivalent medical qualification.
n
Current registration with the Medical Board of Australia / AHPRA.
n
Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (ANZCA).
n
Demonstrated clinical competence and experience appropriate to the responsibilities of an Anaesthetist.
n
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage respectfully with patients, carers and colleagues.
n
Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
n
Experience providing supervision and support to junior medical staff and contributing to professional education.
n
A commitment to quality improvement, clinical governance and ongoing professional development.
